He earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in 2008, where he also served as regimental commander.
Douglas later completed four post-graduate degrees: a master’s degree in mechanical engineering and a master’s degree in naval architecture and marine engineering, both from the University of Michigan (2012), a master’s degree in electrical and computerengineering from Johns Hopkins University(2019), and a doctorate in systems engineering from George Washington University (2021).
He’s more than qualified.
