Ahead of the
#16DaysofActivism, CEHURD, with support from Danish Family Planning Association (DFPA), successfully implemented a two-day Tripartite Intervention bringing together Police, district officials, and Health workers to address the growing need for trauma-sensitive responses in cases of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (
#SGBV).
The intervention focused on stress, trauma, and depression, equipping frontline actors with practical skills to identify early signs, manage emotional fatigue, and respond to survivors in a professional and empathetic manner. Participants also explored how these challenges affect not only survivors but also the very actors who support them, highlighting the importance of self-care, professional conduct, and coordinated action.

The intervention also provided critical clarification on Police Form 3, ensuring proper use for medical-legal documentation, and disseminated the Ministry of Health directive prohibiting the charging of survivors for medical-legal examinations. CEHURD will continue to reinforce this directive in
#LegalAidClinics, community dialogues, and champion-led activities, ensuring survivors receive timely, free, and respectful services.
