The 2nd IZTECH Quantum Days successfully held!
Organized by the IZTECH Quantum Society, the second of our flagship event IZTECH Quantum Days was successfully held on April 17–18 with high participation.
Throughout two days, with contributions from distinguished speakers from all across Europe and Turkiye, the latest advancements in the field of Quantum Technologies were shared with the participants.
Organized as part of the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology (@QuantumYear2025), this year’s event also hosted the arrival of the Quantum Torch at IZTECH, which will be used in the research carried out in the NQO laboratory (@NQOLab) at IZTECH.

I get loads of requests of the “let us talk” type by marketing staff of quantum startups, having no research background whatsoever, with suggestions to have random discussions with no declared aim or mission.
I have actually accepted such requests a couple of times, only to end up in pointless and lenghty powerpoint presentations by PR staff. Whenever I asked a question, the reply was, “oh, great question, this we have to ask our tech people”.
Why are so many quantum companies doing that, even respected ones? Do they not fear that their standing is reduced, rather than increased, by actions of this type? What do they hope to gain? Or is it just random targeting, driven by the hope that this or that customer may end up in their nets?
Puzzled.
