Second, Wes Moore is opening our communities up to serious danger by refusing to allow police to arrest dangerous criminals while today announcing he is making Maryland pay over $800,000 in legal fees to advocate against federal immigration law requiring an orderly manner for foreign nationals to come here legally and safely. Wes Moore is facilitating the trafficking of women and children and I will stop it and protect Maryland and the most vulnerable among us from trafficking. Third, Wes Moore is under water in lacking popularity having recently been booed at Orioles stadium and then heckled just last week in Prince George’s County at a polling center because he is incompetent and bought, so he has now resorted to running attack mailers against me to distract from his failures. This interference with elections is exactly what unpopular governors like Wes Moore do to distract from his disastrous policies. But every day Marylanders pay their bills and sit in traffic with NO KEY BRIDGE built; we know what we want, and that is common sense government that works for us. In short we want NO MOORE.”

The Republican Senate is the worst I have seen in my lifetime. There are about 33 RINOs who are blocking President Trump's appointments and agenda. The Save America Act is a no brainer that should have passed months ago. It's a disgrace how utterly lazy this GOP Senate is. Shame

We do know the consequences of our Republican Senate not passing the SAVE America Act — look no further than California. I hope that Senate Majority Leader Thune will prioritize the SAVE America Act, especially since I’m visiting his home state to hire staff this month.

Russia has attacked the 950-year-old Dormition Cathedral of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra. The monastery is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Russia: We never attack civilian targets. Reality: Russia attacks almost exclusively civilian targets.

A bit of history. The Dormition Cathedral of the Kyiv Pechers’k Lavra was once blown up on Moscow’s orders before — in 1941, when retreating NKVD officers booby-trapped much of central Kyiv and killed thousands of civilians to assassinate a few Germans. Then, just as with the Katyn massacre of Polish officers in 1939, the Soviet Union blamed the destruction of the Lavra on the Nazis. The Dormition Cathedral was only fully rebuilt after Ukraine became independent.

The Dormition Cathedral of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra will be restored. Thanks to the professionalism and swift actions of our emergency responders, the fires have been extinguished. Russia attempted to destroy the Lavra for a second time – just as it did in 1941. Thankfully, we will not have to rebuild this Ukrainian shrine from its foundations. The Government will secure funding for its restoration. As President Zelenskyy noted, the Government is preparing decisions to allocate resources from the reserve fund for urgent roof stabilization and its subsequent restoration. We expect a response from international organizations to yet another barbaric act by Russia. I have instructed Deputy Prime Minister for Humanitarian Affairs Tetiana Berezhna @BerezhnaT to intensify this work, including through the tools of the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Fund. Since early morning, I have also received numerous messages from representatives of Ukrainian businesses and philanthropists willing to contribute to the restoration of this sacred site. Thank you for your shared values and readiness to help. The Government, together with the reserve administration, will organize this process. My deepest gratitude goes to Ukraine’s Defense Forces and the State Emergency Service teams, who are working selflessly at the attack site to save lives and protect our cultural heritage. 🇺🇦
