Since April 7th, I have served as the Lead Dev of the
$POSITIONS CTO project. It has been a long and memorable journey filled with both successes and challenges. While not everything unfolded the way I had envisioned, and there were certainly differences in opinion along the way, and things not handled the way I wanted, there were some accomplishments.
During my time with the project, I helped secure the CoinGecko listing and Jupiter verification, executed buybacks, and dedicated an enormous amount of time and effort toward advancing the mission of
$POSITIONS. I drove solo 32 hours across the country for this project, something I never thought I would have done. The wifey couldn't help me drive, but refused to let me go alone, so she traveled with me right after having a major surgery. I've spent countless hours editing content, finding creative ways to obtain footage from the film, recording laptop screens in BRAW codec, then color grading the footage to match the film. I've yelled across the house to the boys to raid certain pages, teaching them to make gifs for the project, and finally got the time down to 20 minutes per gif, and contributed in every way I could.
I've had the opportunity to meet some incredible people along the way. I'm not a person for small talk, but I enjoy genuine conversation.
At this time, I will be stepping away from the project as I have been signed onto a film that will begin principal photography soon and will require my full attention.
Before I leave, however, I intend to fulfill the Filmmaker Fund commitment. Weird thing about me, is that I love giving. The fund will be directed toward individuals who have already demonstrated that they are filmmakers and who have transparent fundraising pages, such as GoFundMe campaigns or other publicly trackable donation platforms. The first recipient will be the nephew of
@K1d_Crypt0 , the other half of
@WALTER_DEFI from
@K1dandWalt the greatest crypto show in the land. I will work to get this filmmaker grant out immediatly. He's a talented filmmaker with great vision, and I see him going places.
I can also proudly say that throughout my time with the project, I have not sold a single dime of
$POSITIONS. If you look onchain at the oldest wallets after the CTO around 15k MC you will see a small portion belongs to me, IRL friends, mothers of disabled, or neurodivergent children that I brought on to the project and none of us have sold a single token. I have reimbursed them their money to incentivize them to not sell.
My hope is that the mission behind this project continues to grow, reaches a wider audience, and helps more people discover the first film/movie (inside joke) about crypto.
Thank you to everyone who supported the project, contributed to it, and shared in the journey.
Wishing the team and community nothing but success moving forward.
