Late post……. So very proud of @QuicksilverTcAz athlete Alohna Roebuck who hit a huge PR last Saturday night, with a 41’ 10” throw. This ranks her #2 Nationally in the 13/14 girls division. Arizona USATF Junior Olympics is around the corner, and the goal is to PR again 🙌

Before last week, Arizona had never seen 2 girls go under 54 seconds in the same 400m race.
Now, it’s happened in consecutive weeks. 📈

Hamilton junior Aliyah Morrow wins the AIA girls 400m state title, running 53.52.
Incredible race with Mesquite freshman Aulani Gleason, who was 2nd in 53.56.
Morrow moves up to No. 2 all-time in Arizona, with Gleason now at No. 4.

The Battle of Arizona Ave. will be on full display at the AIA State Track and Field Championships as the Hamilton and Chandler girls enter as the favorites.
Last week’s divisional championships were decided by 1 point.

He thought Morrow could run 51-52 seconds by the end of high school, but never told her that. Didn't want to put numbers in her head and stress her out.
"Trust the training. Trust the process," he said.
