It’s the second All-American effort by an Arizona prep in the last 24 hours after Gilbert alum Vance Nilsson won the men’s 400-meter hurdles last night.
Arkansas junior and Williams Field alum Saira Prince finishes 3rd at the @NCAATrackField championships in the 400-meter hurdles, running 54.36.
It’s an All-American finish for Prince and a new personal best, her first time breaking 55 seconds.

After battling a hip injury throughout his entire collegiate career up until this postseason, 2024 World U20 Champion Vance Nilsson won the NCAA 400mH last night in Oregon. The @GatorsTF sophomore became the ninth-fastest man in collegiate history in the process.

Vance Nilsson is first Arizona prep 🌵 to win a men’s NCAA title since Canyon Del Oro’s Turner Washington in 2023, when the ASU senior won the discus.
It’s the 2nd straight year an Arizona prep has won an NCAA title after Chandler’s Cierra Jackson in 2025 (Fresno St, discus).

Gilbert alum Vance Nilsson continues to etch his name into Arizona history.
Set a U.S. high school national record as a senior in the 300-meter hurdles. Then won the U20 World Championship in the 400-meter hurdles.
Now, he’s an NCAA champion.

Colin Sahlman of @NAUTrackFieldXC hit 400m of the #NCAATF 800m final in DEAD LAST before overhauling the eight men in front of him, including indoor champ Tyrice Taylor, to claim the national title in 1:44.22.
Sahlman’s mark is a lifetime best and moves him up to NCAA #6 all-time.

BYU senior Ben Barton won the NCAA championship in the decathlon — Snowflake senior Ryder Hall is set to join BYU next year as a decathlete.
Not to be hyperbolic, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw Hall pull this off as well in a few years.
