At the end of my presentations I usually try to add #Spanish. I’ve had positive & negative feedback on it. Yet to me it’s important not only because it’s part of who I am, but because it reminds others that we as researchers come from different backgrounds.

I wanted to major in neuro undergrad, but my uni didn’t have it. I double majored in cell & molecular biology/psychology.
I have been thankful MANY TIMES for molecular background.
