I meet and talk to so many people who believe that ALL school librarians do is check out books and put them back once kids return them. Here is just SOME of what they ACTUALLY do. And not on this list: foster a lifelong love of reading. And what could be more important than that?

"I think we are already there." PEN America official Jonathan Friedman says students are receiving different educations in blue states & red states. It comes as a new report shows Texas & Florida top the list of states banning books based on topics such as LGBTQ , & Race content.
