Another busy day at reserve #SavisWarbler again we urge all visitors to respect neighbours, #Otmoor lane is very narrow with limited passing places. Park in marked areas, very limited parking. Pay for parking π. Keep the damage to banks to absolute minimum. Thank you. Enjoy.
Long day of travelling yesterday, Yorkshire to Portsmouth
I did not have time for my usual detour to @RSPBotmoor
Stopped for a brief walk along the Thames at Oxford instead
Heron, Egyptian Goose, Cormorant, Common Terns
A rewarding trip to Otmoor yesterday evening resulted in 58 species including great views of a Bittern to the right of screen 1 at about 20:05. Great reserve and love the new wetland work. @RSPBotmoor#otmoor
Otmoor RSPBβ¦β¦.Black-winged Stilt, 3 Glossy Ibis, Cuckoo, 10 Hobby, the highlights yesterday.
Today Theale GPβ¦β¦Nightingale and this rather showy Garden Warbler.
Off to Armenia tomorrow π
Distant views for photos but really good to see the black-winged stilt at RSPB Otmoor early this afternoon @BirdGuides@_BTO@oxonbirdnews. Bonus hobbies which were also first for year.
Better views than yesterday of the black-winged stilt at RSPB Otmoor, although through foliage, plus several hobby @BirdGuides@_BTO@oxonbirdnews - with @kev07713.
29th Apr, a jaunt to RSPB Otmoor to view the Black-winged Stilt in the lovely sunshine. He tried to hide! 2 reeling Grasshopper Warblers were double bonus.
A diverted return to Staines Res for the again reported Black Terns drew a blank.
Creeping closer with 245 year ticks.
