The Community Trails Master Plan developed in partnership with the @NatlParkService in 2014, continues to serve the @cityof29palms as a long-term blueprint for an integrated trail network linking residents to the outdoors, cultural and historic sites, and local schools and parks.

The @NatlParkService helped conceptualize the design for the Washougal Waterfront Park and Trail in the state of Washington. The park boasts a wrap-around trail, a nature-based play area, rain gardens, gorgeous views of the Columbia River, and its resident Sasquatch! 👣

The Corvallis to the Sea Trail is open! The @NatlParkService assisted the C2C Partnership in developing an early concept plan for the trail in 2005. This 62-mile Oregon trail runs through farms, wetlands and national forest lands, so be sure to explore! c2ctrail.org/

To celebrate #AmericanEducationWeek, we want to highlight @WHCCoalinga College in California. With help from the @NatlParkService, the college created the Environmental Science Club which has allowed students to learn about possible careers in the environmental field.

In Washington, the Yakama Nation is improving its bike & pedestrian trail system. The @NatlParkService is assisting in developing the Heritage Connectivity Trails which will span 150 miles & address pedestrian safety issues in the area. Learn more: tinyurl.com/3b6htu3a #NAHM

In Alaska, @homerlibraryak is on its way to creating an outdoor learning area that could serve as a cultural, educational and recreational asset for the community. The @NatlParkService recently held a community planning meeting to brainstorm future steps for this project! 📚
