Malon (Maron) from OoT is a counterpart of Marin from Link's Awakening.
The names Malon and Marin are plays on words of the French marron meaning chestnut, a reference to their hair colors.
Daisy's Smash Ultimate character bio described her hair as chestnut, as well.

To be honest I don't like it when they give Knuckles a darker skin tone, I feel like it doesn't suit his design due to a lack of visual clarity.

I remember when the 3DS releases of OoT and MM came out, people never stopped complaining about how they were too bright and colorful.
Now we see a miniscule preview of the new OoT and people are complaining it's too dark and gritty?
This is some NPC behavior.

I haven't seen many people complaining about it being too dark and gritty (tho I'm sure there are people complaining), but I definitely have seen people complaining about it being too realistic & not stylized enough

Sheik's pronouns are NOT she/her, but Zelda's are. But Zelda is Sheik, so...
The reality is this:
While Zelda is Sheik, Zelda is presenting as a male. So you should use male pronouns. Calling Sheik she is ONLY appropriate when you are referring to the fact Sheik IS Zelda.

The Japanese Melee trophies purposely avoided female pronouns, and the Japanese Ocarina of Time site famously used the term seinen 青年 young man.
I know a Nintendo rep claimed Sheik is a woman, but that's only in the sense that Sheik IS Zelda, not that Sheik presents as female.
