My grandparents were traditional Diné. They didn't speak English. Our reservation IS our sacred Dinetah, our homeland between the four sacred mountains where the Holy People put us. Why would they leave?
You for years have only validated existence as an indigenous person if you have your Dept of Interior stamp of approval like cattle. It’s wrong. Not everyone wanted to live on a reservation. Not everyone had the opportunity to live with their people.
