What has he actually done for Florida’s 19th District? He’s been in Congress since 2021. Sure, a couple small bills passed, but nothing game-changing for Collier or Lee. Instead he’s all over TV, podcasts, and national media building the personal brand and chasing the governor’s mansion. Locals in Naples see it: more fame than results. Now the big one. The AI data centers he’s pushing hard. He’s taking millions from an AI super PAC and talking about “Florida leading” with these massive facilities. But we’re already in a water crisis, drought, aquifer strain, and post-Ian recovery. These things suck down millions of gallons of water daily for cooling and jack up electric bills for everyone else. I see what’s happening with our land and green spaces. Byron’s tone-deaf “embrace it” stance is exactly why we’re fighting growth overload in Collier right now. Florida doesn’t need another polished talker with donor strings attached. We need someone who actually gets the local fights: water, environment, keeping our communities livable. Not trading them away for tech cash and national headlines.
