Hey @EconomicTimes , your word of the day, ‘anfractuous,’ describes well the task of finding your contact info… so to point out that you’ve incorrectly spelled this said-same ‘anfractuous’ on the banner image of its article.

House GOP leaders advise members that there will be votes in House this week, and they will get 36 hours to return after Senate passes bill to reopen the govt. The House hasn’t voted since Sept 19 and has been in session just 22 days since July 1

Ok the US aviation system is officially FUBAR. The endless gov’t shutdown is doing more than just “slowing traffic down” — Reagan airport isn’t even letting flights land.

Now sitting in a grounded plane at the wrong airport with zero news about what they’re going to do with us or when.

Srsly, politicians, is this what you need for your game of chicken with the US budget? Trapping hundreds people (incl. old ladies & toddlers!) on diverted airplanes in strange cities? @realDonaldTrump @HouseGOP @SenateGOP @HouseDemocrats @SenateDems

Thanks, government — I guess you’re making people feel the shutdown. @realDonaldTrump @WhiteHouse @HouseGOP @HouseDemocrats @SenateGOP @SenateDems

Although if all you care about is *Spotify*'s average for a single stream, it's fine to drive away everybody who isn't willing to pay $38.50 month. But if getting 3x/stream for a tenth as many streams sounds good to you, I think you should stay away from advocacy based on math.

The structural problem with Twitter, reproduced exactly in all its clones, is that there is no shared experience. It’s only a side-effect of this that rebuilding ANY individual experience on a new clone is laborious.

No such thing as a NYT review that’s bad for the author.
Really appreciate everyone having a laugh at the NYT review, but I'd be lying if I'd say that kind of thing doesn't scare the shit out of me on some level. Treating people's work as below consideration like that is a way to exclude them from public discourse, and it works.

It is so terribly brilliant. It aches. Raw.
Reading a confederacy of dunces is actually painful to me, because “its literally me” and not in a good way.

A beautifully crafted piece about one of the Jan6 rioters. His story is important — but it’s the remarkable writing from @gregjaffe that moves me. Sensitive, nuanced, vulnerable and strong. THIS is America. THIS is who we are.
Before he took part in the riot at the U.S. Capitol, Jake Peart committed an act of 'unfathomable' grace and kindness. Should it matter? washingtonpost.com/national-…
