𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗖𝗛 𝗥𝗘𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧 | 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟴𝘀 Monday nights under the lights.🔵⭐⚽ Our U18s started their run of Monday night league games at the KD Stadium earlier this week, when they welcomed South Shields FC in front of a great crowd and with the young ultras in fine voice.💙⭐ The game started with Blue Star playing on the front foot and pressing with intensity, after an early scare which saw Lucas Lowthian recover well to make a good save. ❌ The lads continued to attack and press from the front, resulting in 2 quick fire goals on around the 15 minute mark. ⚡️ Blue Star continued to press and attack with intensity, with a further 2 goals being added before half time. 🔋 The second half lacked the same intensity, with Shields keeping possession well, but with Blue Star still creating chances. Blue Star introduced U16 goalkeeper Sam Robson for his U18 debut after 60 minutes, joining his U16 team mate Will Hodgkinson on the pitch. 👏 Shields showed great attitude throughout, but could not prevent Blue Star adding a further 2 goals.
