Wonderful thread on the temples of Malabar near Kozhikode. The deep past still intrudes in these temples, amazingly well preserved—if you look past the garish signage and spindly chicken-coop architectural add-ons—where one can still hear 'the noiseless footfall of the infinite'.

Had an amazing day yesterday, hopping from one temple to another around Kozhikode with @sruthinlal, tracing their distinct histories (and stories), the transformations of their gods and legends, and simply staring in awe at some of these shrines.

This is our 6th consecutive year of the Chocolate Ganesha! It took a team of 10 chefs, 10 days and 200 Kgs Belgian Chocolate to make this eco-friendly Ganesha. We plan to do Visarjan (immersion) in milk and distribute Chocolate Milk Prasad to underprivileged kids in slum areas.
