India has been consistently warming up. Decade after decade, temperatures have been rising, and this is a one-way journey unless humanity makes a dramatic course correction. All the heatwave deaths that are in the news are the result of this relentless warming. You will see a lot of numbers floating around, especially the recent viral study that a single day of extreme heat causes roughly 3,400 excess deaths across India, and a five-day heatwave nearly 30,000. But the truth is, we still don’t have good statistics on how many Indians are losing their lives because of heatwaves. What we do know is this: a vast majority of Indian employment is still informal. The number of people employed in agriculture, construction, gig work, and other outdoor work remains disproportionately high. We have come a long way, but this is still the reality for a very large number of Indians. For many Indians, staying indoors when temperatures rise is simply not a luxury they can afford. There is also a deep inequality in access to cooling. Yes, the fact that almost all of India has been electrified is a genuine achievement. But access to air coolers, let alone air conditioners, is still low and mostly concentrated among people with higher incomes. Fans only do so much when the heat is this brutal. This is the inequality of heat. People with good incomes can afford coolers and ACs. They can work from home and can avoid the worst hours of the day. But this is a small subset of India. Remember, more than 40% of Indians are still employed in agriculture, even though agriculture’s share of India’s GDP has consistently declined. These are the real Indians who will be most affected by rising temperatures. Many of the regions most exposed to climatic shocks like El Niño and heatwaves are also among the poorer regions of northern India. So the people who will be hit the hardest by rising temperatures are the poorest Indians, across regions that are yet to see real prosperity. Sadly, this is a systemic crisis. Individual actions help, but they are not enough. We need collective action, not just at a country level, but at a global level. Climate change is not an Indian problem but a global problem. That said, there are still some low-hanging fruits that can start making a difference. There is a lot of debate and controversy over India’s forest cover and whether it has increased or decreased. But when it comes to cities, we can see the loss of green cover firsthand. Trees are cut to make way for roads, houses, flyovers, and buildings. Whatever few trees remain are often trapped under pavements and concrete. This weakens them. This is one reason why trees often fall even after moderate rains. If you have space, you can plant native species like neem, moringa, jamun, amla, and curry leaves. These trees have deep roots and can survive better. People often avoid planting trees because they worry that the roots will damage the foundations of their homes. But in many cases, this fear is overstated. These are small things which help. But as depressing as it sounds, this problem ultimately needs systemic, collective action at a global level. And judging by the way the world is heading, it is very hard to have hope. Rising temperatures are a serious challenge. They don’t have easy explanations, and they definitely don’t have easy solutions.

He has too much of regards for Modiji and moving away from Modiji to be on his own for the sake of Tamil Nadu are the qualities of a true patriot ❤️ As he is on his own now I hope he gets the required financial support from the people of TN because he is not Joseph Vijay he is the son of a farmer

Pandit Benimadhab Ray: The Brahmin Who Hunted Pathans ⚔️ Pandit Benimadhav Ray was a Bengali Brahmin dacoit of Rajshahi whose gang used to capture the Pathans on the night of Amavasya and offer narabali of them in front of Maa Yavanmardini Kali. Pandit Benimadhav Ray was a resident of Tarash Chalan-Beel in the Rajshahi kingdom of Bengal. In his early life, he was a scholar Varendra Brahmin Pandit and Sanskrit Acharya. In that era Pathans used to demolish temples & murtis and forced to stop puja of Hindus. In view of the chaotic situation in society, Benimadhav decided to sharpen his sword to protect Dharma. He was a skilled swordsman and he used to offer bali of Pathans on every Amavasya night at the feet of his worshipped goddess, Maa Yavanamardini Kali. He initially received martial training there by joining the team of warrior Gobindo Singha. Later, after the death of Gobindo Singha, he became the leader of the group, and became popular with the name “Pandit Dakat” [পণ্ডিত ডাকাত पण्डित डकैत]. His two chief Commanders were Jugal Kishore Sanyal and Chandi Prasad Ray. Chandiprasad and Jugalkishore, were notorious for implanting fear among Pathans & known by them as “Kaal Chandeya” and “Kaal Jogala” for fear of similar reasons. In due time receiving order of Beni Ray, Jugal & Chandi launched attack on Subedar Zalil Khan’s house. Chandiprasad surrounded the entire house & Pathans surrendered in fear. Then Zalil Khan & Khalil Khan was tied & brought to Chalanbil, where they were sacrificed to Kali. Dakat Benimadhav Ray lived on an island in Chalan beel, his dera was surrounded by dense forest. The area where he lived is known as the “Pandit Dakater Bhita” (পণ্ডিত ডাকাতের ভিটা), although the Pathans called it “Shaitan ka Bhita” خانه شیطان (Residence of the Devil). Cc - @Gaudeshwar

Islam is Arab culture Not a divine-inspired religion. The Quran was written 2 years after Muhammad died, then 20 years later it was all burned and replaced by a new version by the caliph Uthman at around 650–656 CE. the hadith was written 250 years after his death by someone who never met Muhammad. Muhammad did nothing to Islam you know today, maybe he was a fictional character and there was no Mecca in the 7th century. So Islam was purely a culture created by man, not divine.

If the man had lived another twenty years, no one would have been as fortunate as us. I have personally seen him transform many ordinary boys and girls from secular families into followers of Hindutva with his own hands. He spent his entire life worrying about the future of us Bengali Hindus. Throughout his life, he stood selflessly beside persecuted Hindus. At a time when Gopal Mukherjee and Syama Prasad Mukherjee were neglected in this state, he used all his strength to tell people their stories. His organizational skills were also tremendous. He made only one mistake - he always stayed away from politics. He always wanted to stand beside Hindus in a non-political way, but he should have understood that politics controls every sphere of life, including the future of Hindus. Leaders like Tapan Ghosh were what we needed in this BJP government.

A prominent Muslim cleric with millions of followers, Imam Saleh Al-Fawzan, openly declared: “If you deny the practice of drinking camel urine, you are an apostate, and it becomes permissible to kill you.” He added that killing such a person is a religious duty for the sake of Allah. This is not some random extremist hiding in a cave. This is a mainstream Islamic scholar whose teachings reach millions. How is the West supposed to reconcile this ideology with endless talk of “shared values” and integration? And why is there almost no serious public debate about teachings like these?
