Ontario doesn’t need to “wait until the next election” to speak up. People are angry for a reason. Doug Ford’s Ontario has become a province of scandals, secrecy, privatization, and broken public trust. The Greenbelt scandal.
The Ontario Place/Therme spa deal.
The Science Centre fiasco.
The private jet controversy.
The RCMP investigation. And now attacks on transparency itself. This government weakened public access to information and transparency protections, making it harder for journalists and the public to hold politicians accountable. Democracy depends on openness not secrecy. Meanwhile: 🏥 Public health care is being privatized while ERs close and hallway medicine worsens.
📚 Public education is overcrowded and underfunded.
🏠 Housing is unaffordable while homelessness explodes.
💊 ODSP recipients are being left in poverty.
👩‍⚕️ Nurses, teachers, and frontline workers are burned out and ignored.
🛣 Developers and insiders keep getting special treatment. Ontario deserves leadership that puts people before political insiders, developers, and backroom deals. Enough is enough. Sign the petition. Share it everywhere. Let Ontario be heard. c.org/PQNsYK4xj9

Doug Ford’s government has refused to answer our questions about how much taxpayer money Metrolinx paid a development group tied to a close friend of the premier. The company had asked for $500M. The transportation minister said it's a private settlement thetrillium.ca/news/governme…

Another day, another shady deal for Doug Ford’s friends. Metrolinx quietly signed off on a secret $500 million settlement with a company linked to the Premier’s close friend, Carmine Nigro - for “air rights” the company reportedly never even owned. Ontarians deserve transparency and accountability, not backroom deals for insiders with connections to Doug Ford. #onpoli thetrillium.ca/news/politics…

NEW: Government-supervised school board mistakenly distributes email identifying teachers at risk of layoffs, raising serious privacy concerns & prompting Ontario's privacy watchdog to look into the incident. My first official byline with @Thetrilliumca: thetrillium.ca/insider-news/…

Doug Fords texts and emails can still be obtained through criminal warrant … … if only we had a law enforcement agency competent and capable enough to conduct an investigation.

Sound familiar, Ontario?
Would someone please explain to me how a judge orders The Epstein Files released, the order is ignored, and there are ZERO consequences?

The PCs haven't raised welfare rates in eight years. Taking into account inflation, that's a 20% hit to purchasing power. Protect Ontario? More like, Hurt Ontario. thestar.com/politics/politic… via @torontostar

I am furious over Fords' anti-democratic move to completely block all FOIs going forward and going back forty years for himself, all his MPPs & office staff. A government that insists it must operate in complete secrecy and darkness IS NOT a government to be trusted!!!

This could be the biggest cover up in Canadian political history. @fordnation needs to release his cell phone records. What is he hiding?
If there’s nothing to hide… why go this far to hide it? #onpoli

Now, just imagine if the Premier had allowed the Basic Income Pilot to run its course. We could have used the evidence to make real changes to address deep poverty in Ontario. Such a bad decision and such a waste. thestar.com/politics/politic…

I don't just want to hear that a new Premier will undo this. I want to hear that they will: - Fire police if evidence is destroyed - Use Asset Forfeiture laws to seize ALL of Ford's and co-conspirator's properties - Put MPPs and Ford in prison I want a scorched earth approach
Why would a government change the law to hide their records – unless they had something to hide? Doug Ford just did that. He rewrote Freedom of Information laws to bury his phone records and 40 years of government documents. As Premier, I will undo this. But right now, I need those records preserved. Especially all the ones related to the ongoing criminal investigation into the Greenbelt Scandal.

Doug Ford went to court to keep his personal phone - the one he uses for government business - hidden from the public. He lost. So now he’s changing the law to dodge the ruling. That’s not leadership. That’s rewriting the rules to protect yourself from accountability. What’s on that phone, Doug? Another Greenbelt giveaway? Another Ontario Place deal? Another gravy plane? Ontarians deserve answers - not cover-ups. Enough is enough. #onpoli ctvnews.ca/toronto/politics/…

You're my MPP @Effie_ONB You didn’t vote to prevent Ford’s corruption in a nighttime, no public consultation bill.  Access to records detailing government deals means accountability.  You helped @FordNation hide information from taxpayers you supposedly represent?  Why?!
