Drumroll, please! This year’s project is #100VancouverPlaques. In 1986, Vancouver celebrated its centennial by installing 100 plaques around the city. My goal is to find all of them, write up a little bit about the topic commemorated, and draw something too

Elizabeth Flaherty received her pilot's licence in '31 & was on the executive of the Women's Flying Club of Vancouver (aka the "Flying Seven") in the 1930s. Here is a photo of her pilot's licence.

Pro tip when writing image descriptions for folks: You're not writing a professional newspaper caption of a stock photo.
Just let blind and low vision users know what they might wanna see! For example:
