📕While Macaulay engineered to uproot the Education system. There was someone after him Who tore upon Cultural Fabric thru Wrong Translation of Rigveda and Religious Texts and Wrote to His wife :-
“…I feel convinced, though I shall not live to see it, that this edition of mine and the translation of the Veda will hereafter tell to a great extent on the fate of India, and on the growth of millions of souls in that country. It is the root of their religion, and to show them what that root is, I feel sure, the only way of uprooting all that has sprung from it during the last 3,000 years……”
~F. Max Muller .
He Never Visited India, but towards the End , he wrote a Book praising India : “What can it Teach us”
When Thomas Babington Macaulay wrote his infamous Minute on Indian Education in 1835, he explicitly stated his goal:
"We must do our best to form a class who may be interpreters between us and the millions whom we govern; a class of persons, Indian in blood and colour, but English in taste, in opinions, in morals, and in intellect."
The colonial education system was literally engineered to produce individuals who would look at their own heritage with suspicion and look at the West with absolute awe.
That programming runs so deep that if a modern Indian entrepreneur sells traditional herbs/copper vessels, it is called superstition/backward. But the second a Silicon Valley startup puts turmeric into a cup, labels it a "Golden Milk Latte," and charges $9 a cup, we line up to buy it because it has been validated by the West.
