Yasin Kawuma was a very good man. Never provoked anyone. Not a single tweet insulting anyone. He loved people. Did his job as a driver to the people's president. He was down to earth. Many times he drove @HEBobiwine to many offices & never shared his views about how you conducted you work because he always minded his business. His advice was invaluable to those around him. His family and friends loved him. And to those who said nothing in his death like you Mr Afande, even when you knew the people that killed him, may God forgive you.

President Bobi Wine, addressing the NUP chapter in Seattle, encouraged supporters to remain strong and hopeful. He reminded them that both young and old should hold on to hope, saying that the law, the people, and even time are all on their side in the struggle ahead. #PeoplePower

Well General, this anger did not come from nowhere. Years of abductions, torture, killings, impunity, enforced disappearances, and institutions are selective and compromised have left people feeling powerless and unheard. These are the monsters created under your era — a country cannot heal where fear speaks louder than justice.

There is so much EMOTIONAL TURBULENCE exhibited here. But as a SOCIETY/COUNTRY; are we CAPABLE, or even INTERESTED to process this EMOTION? So that we can be able to acknowledge the problem which needs to be solved? OR WE DON'T CARE? Because few understand that, under this OVERT ANGER, in most cases, hides very deep feelings of GRIEF, of FEAR, of a VULNERABLE People feeling POWERLESS and craving for ANSWERS..... How do we heal a Country so DIVIDED and ANGRY?

Shs 50.18 Billion for the Speaker & Deputy Speaker allowances vs Shs 21.6 Billion for 1,000 Intern Doctors: A Question of betrayal of National Priorities The debate about funding Uganda's intern doctors is often framed as a question of affordability. Yet a look at the 2026/27 budget allocations tells a different story. According to published parliamentary budget figures, the Office of the Speaker is allocated approximately Shs 28.5 billion, while the Office of the Deputy Speaker is allocated about Shs 21.68 billion in allowances. Together, these two offices alone account for Shs 50.18 billion in allowances for the office of the speaker ( 2 individuals vs 1,000 intern doctors ) For comparison, paying 1,000 intern doctors a net allowance of Shs 1.8 million per month for an entire year would cost approximately Shs 21.6 billion. In other words, the annual allowance budget for the Speaker and Deputy Speaker's offices combined is more than double what is required to remunerate 1,000 intern doctors who provide frontline medical services in hospitals across the country. The issue, therefore, is not whether Uganda lacks the resources. The issue is one of priorities. The same 2 officers have elephant like fat salaries and retirement benefits attached to their offices monthly When young qualified licensed doctors who work long hours in emergency units, maternity wards, operating theatres, and outpatient clinics are told there is no money to support them, yet billions are readily available for administrative and political offices luxury & nagutory expenditures, Ugandans are justified in asking difficult questions. A nation's budget is a reflection of its priorities and valu8. If healthcare is truly a priority, then the welfare, dignity, and remuneration of intern doctors should be treated as a national investment rather than an avoidable expense. The question is simple: if Shs 50.18 billion can be allocated to just two political offices as allowances, why is Shs 21.6 billion for 1,000 frontline intern doctors considered unaffordable? I have just watched a video on TikTok of some old people, including Bebe Cool, talking about the Saha- Kasolo issues. They all seemed to blame King Saha, claiming that he disrespected the minister and an "elder," and this left me in disbelief. Where were these people when Kasolo stopped Saha from performing in Kyotera with impunity? What's the double standards for?

Deeply saddened by the passing of Mrs. Sarah Nantumbwe Ddamulira. Since her husband, @NUP_Ug supporter John Ddamulira, was abducted from Kisekka Market in 2020, Sarah spent 5 years moving heaven and earth to find him. To pass away without any closure is an unimaginable grief.

Prime Minister @R_Nabbanja , as you attend church this Sunday and are given a front seat, I ask that you remember your public remarks regarding the alleged abduction of Mr. John Bosco Kibalama on 3rd June 2019 in Kakiri. Kindly provide clarity to the public on his whereabouts. His children deserve answers and the chance to know what happened to their father, especially now that their mother is no longer with them. #BringBackOurPeople

Kapere akoze atya? 😂😂😂 This is extremely funny #KapereComedy The truth remains, apart from potholed roads, Ugandans pay for every other service they consume including security in their communities. They don’t see the value of debt #BakozeBatya

These Ugandans are dying of depression thanks to a government supposed to protect them. Last year it was the wife of John Bosco Kibalama whose husband was disappeared in 2019. Now it is the wife of Ddamulira. Both leaving young children on their own.. let me not even begin to speak about the families of those in illegal detention and how the lives and future of their children have been completely ruined!
It is with profound sadness that we learn of the passing of Sarah Ddamulira, wife of John Ddamulira who was abducted in 2020 and has remained missing since. During our recent visit to the hospital, she shared with us her feeling that her life was nearing its end, but she was deeply pained by the possibility of leaving without knowing what happened to her husband. Her children are now left without a father and mother. May God see it fit that justice be served to families like Sarah’s. Kitalo nyo!

I have received the sad news of the death of Ms. Sarah Nantumbwe (1st image), a wife to comrade John Ddamulira (2nd image) who was abducted from his spare parts shop in Kisekka Market in November 2020 and has never been seen again. She has died carrying the pain of not knowing what became of her husband, a pain that many families of our disappeared know far too well. Ms. Nantumbwe's death has brought back memories of Ms. Monica Nabukenya (4th image), who also passed away just a few months ago in November 2025 after enduring a similar ordeal following the abduction of her husband, comrade Kibalama Johnbosco (3rd image), on Martyrs Day in June 2019. It's a pity that both ladies spent years hoping and searching for answers that never came! May Ms. Nantumbwe rest in eternal peace.

“I have issues with them, the @PoliceUg. Some of them were not listening. You tell them, ‘Don’t do this, don’t do this,’ and later you hear they have gone ahead and done exactly that...You remember, I would call them here and ask, ‘Gentlemen, what happened?’ At one point, they denied me information. What they did not know is that I am an intelligence officer. Everything that was happening, I knew"- @otafiire_k 👉bit.ly/3Sil20A #MonitorUpdates
