I like the way a commenter reframed this: rather than calling it "luck" - call it a "privilege".
You didn't ask to be brought into the world with your consent (because there is no pre-existing entity), and you definitely don't have reason to be prideful about genetics.

However; you can make do with what you have been given to you through genetic causality, and that is a privilege. Some humans *aren't* able to do this, though, and that's why Rawls created the Veil of Ignorance. I think people's reaction to Rawls's use of "luck" is misunderstood.
