Just read โ€œ Politics And The English Languageโ€ by George Orwell. Written in 1946. Roughly 30 pages. As relevant now as it was when written. If modern discussions filled with a lot of words, but little to no meaning bothers youโ€ฆ this is a must read! ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Driftless Books and Music in Viroqua WI. 19 years of selling used books and music out of a converted tobacco processing plant. The creativity and passion for things that matter in Driftless Wisconsin always amazes me!

You have inherent worth. You have value that is not tied to appearance, wealth, talents, or the evaluations of others. You matter.

Check out this amazing map showing independent book stores of the Midwest. It truly is a work of art! Great to see so many options for locally owned independent book stores. Well done @beardhero! ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Thereโ€™s one thing you have to know to understand why so many people claim to be offended by small things now: They WANT to be offended. Hereโ€™s the psychology behind why:

Just finished โ€œThe Trialโ€ by Franz Kafka. A shockingly terrifying book of arbitrary and distant unreasoning authority. It is a haunting story, and important read due to its originality and influence on later dystopian works. Highly recommended!๐Ÿ‘

28 years ago today, Forrest Gump hit the box office. I was honored to play the wounded Vietnam Veteran, Lt Dan Taylor, and represent so many of our wounded veterans who selflessly served our country. And today, itโ€™s an honor to help โ€œthe real Lt. Danโ€™sโ€ @GarySiniseFound #icecream

โ€œLife and Death in Shanghaiโ€ by Nien Cheng is an absolute classic. Her story of persecution and imprisonment during the cultural revolution in communist China under Mao Zedong. She escaped by faith and resilience, with her life, and her humanity, intact. ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ
