The only thing that would make switch my political allegiance is a political faction that actually picks the fight against gatekeeping of young Kenyan professionals. Seriously, don't y'all wonder where young Kenyan engineers go after graduation? Just horizontal engineering while selling phone cases along Tom Mboya. Where do young Kenyan architects disappear to? Designing 3 bedroom mansions for goats in Kiambu Young Kenyan accountants? They're just counting their days. And also counting stock at Quickmart. Young Kenyan quantity surveyors? Quantifying their own suffering while working as Uber drivers. Young Kenyan planners? Planning to leave the country or planning wedding ceremonies in Kilimani. Young surveyors? Measuring their landlord's patience. And get this. We have only 180 licensed surveyors in the whole country, yet surveying is happening everywhere every single day🤔 Any party that picks this gatekeeping fight absolutely gets my vote. I will be blind to everything else you do. You could give MPs an alcohol allowance, you could buy helicopters for the Kenya Meat Commission, you could declare all potholes tactical speed bumps, I would not care. Just end the gatekeeping. I'm in.
