Rewilded car parks, 20mph limits and compulsory cargo bikes – welcome to the Green Party’s transport revolution. Alongside plans to reduce speed limits to 55mph on motorways and 20mph in built-up areas, ban cars from city centres and restrict parking zones, all of which were part of a paper released earlier this year, the proposed policies sound like a campaign to make life on the road as miserable as possible. #CostOfNetZero

Went to the AFC victory parade yesterday - a great afternoon........but @TfL manage to spoil it by closing off access to stations (Manor House)..........but don't bother putting up any signage, so folk criss-crossing the man road junction trying to find the one entrance. Useless.

A bogus concern for road safety is being used as a pretext to accelerate the anti-car agenda. MOT tests are already a scam, with minor, irrelevant infractions used to impose bills of hundreds, sometimes thousands of pounds. It's likely the costs far outweigh the benefits.

She joked about hitting Potholes after her incident in Oxfordshire. In her position you shouldn't be joking about at all. One cyclist a killed or seriously injured a week due to Potholes. 70 bikers KSI a year due to badly maintained roads.

Why do the Green Party pay their staff such awful salaries less the £15 min policy?
Neither does the Green Party staff): • Operations Officer: £23,000–£25,000 → ≈ £12.64–£13.74/hour. • Social Media Officer: £25,000–£26,000 → ≈ £13.74–£14.29/hour.

@Tyrepress Blackcircles research: 87% of UK motorists say potholes are a local problem. I afraid I don't agree with this. It a National Crisis and international embarrassment. In France we call #KingdomOfPotholes tyrepress.com/2026/05/blackc…

The Green Party has complained about this cartoon of Zack Polanski by the The Times. They’re deeply unhappy with it. Whatever you do, do not repost!

Whilst my sympathies are wholly with the families of the guys stabbed - why is no-one asking how the offender was granted UK citizenship and by whom?? Name names and stop such madness happening again.

Councillor apologises after asking council call handler to speak English as critics agree with her Eastbourne Borough Councillor Elaine Hamilton, in her 60s, called the council helpdesk and struggled to understand the operator. She politely said “I’m sorry but I can’t understand you, can I speak to someone who can speak English please?” The comment triggered a backlash with some social media users branding her racist. Hamilton has now issued a statement apologising and saying she regretted any offence caused. Critics including local residents and fellow councillors have agreed with her, arguing English should be the language used for all council services so ratepayers can be properly understood.

Bump in the road - how the rising price of oil affects pothole repairs. Although in Irish media it applies here. The £18.6bn pothole backlog reported the other month could now be £23bn. With general deterioration £25bn next year! rte.ie/news/2026/0426/157009…

¿Quieres ayudar a tu hijo?

Morrisons manager sacked after tackling violent serial shoplifter who spat in his face is blown away by huge protest outside store Sean Egan, 46, with 29 years service at the Aldridge branch near Walsall, intervened last December when the thief became aggressive. Despite the shoplifter spitting directly in his face, Egan has now been dismissed for breaching the supermarket’s “deter and not detain” policy. He says he is genuinely blown away by the incredible local support shown at the weekend protest with banners demanding justice for him. Egan accused his former bosses of just standing there watching the entire protest from nearby before blanking him and offering no acknowledgement. Morrisons said it will not ask colleagues to put themselves at risk.

🚨DRUG MULE : Carlotta Allum, Lambeth Green candidate for Brixton Windrush on May 7th, was busted smuggling 10,000 ecstasy pills strapped to her body as a drug mule into the USA. Did time in a US prison. Now this convicted criminal lectures us on “justice” and the Greens are desperate to make her a councillor. From international drug smuggler to elected office Total disgrace. #GreenHypocrisy - Courtesy of Green Party Exposed X account
