This destroyed over 13,000 hectares of vital mangrove forests. Today, that decades-long neglect has escalated into a full-blown public health emergency, with toxic gas and methane actively bubbling into the community’s drinking water. What we saw is not just degradation; it is Ecocide. The Bille people are being robbed of their right to clean water, safe air, and basic survival. We are documenting the scale of this damage.
