I went to a screening of #AmericanFiction last night at AMC Magic Johnson Harlem. @cordjefferson did a smart and funny (gut-bucket laughter at times) adaptation of Percival Everett's Erasure. It's still in limited release, goes wide in Jan, but go see and talk about this film.
Watch the new trailer for what critics are calling “the Best Picture of the Year!” #AmericanFiction is now playing in select theaters. Additional cities opening this Friday.

“Artists lead in many powerful ways that are sometimes not visible and acknowledged, so it’s deeply honoring and humbling to get to be a voice in the community and for the community but within the arts.”So cool! Congratulations @AyadeLeon! #poetlaureateberkeleyside.org/2023/12/13/…
Remarkable news today. Francis's posture toward gay Catholics has long been a welcome change, but this is the most concrete step forward he's yet taken—and it is a significant one.
Thank you, Pope Francis!

This is a bit of a niche request, but I'm looking for 2024 books *about* books, writers, publishing, etc. for a story I'm working on.
Could be biographies, histories, essays, even novels featuring real literary figures as characters.

SF is great. We all knew this. Playing DAL, KC, and BUF the prior 3 weeks didn’t do us any favors, but no excuses here. We got whooped. Credit to them on the very convincing win.
Lock in for Dallas, and win the rematch in January.

This is the cast of the Netflix movie, RUSTIN. I worked on the staff directed by BAYARD Rustin from the Harlem headquarters. My character is played by Jules Latimer in the SNCC uniform of denim overall skirt. My sister, Dorie is played by Jamila Rosemond.
