My thoughts after 3 months in the US/Texas🇺🇸: - Americans are way more extroverted than Europeans - Talking to strangers is normal here - My first H-E-B trip felt like Boris Yeltsin seeing an American grocery store - Some food is more artificial, but the amount of choices is insane - You can still eat healthy. You just have to choose it - High risk, high reward is real - Way more people are entrepreneurial - People dream bigger than in Europe, and they actually execute - Obv not everyone is smarter, but the smart people are world-class - Successful people here are way more down-to-earth. In Europe, successful people care about status and can be arrogant - Cars. Enough said - Americans have perfected artificial sweets - There’s still more freedom here than in Europe - One thing I didn’t expect: some Americans talk down on America - As an outsider, that’s weird, because imo it’s still the greatest country on Earth🇺🇸🇺🇸

USA. A Mexican restaurant. We had not yet ordered anything, and the food was already arriving. Chips. Salsa. Unrequested. Free. I stopped the waiter. "We have not earned these." "They just come with the table, man." They come with the TABLE. In my land, hospitality is a debt. Every gift creates an obligation, weighed carefully, returned in the proper season with interest of feeling. Here, the gift arrives before you have even proven you can pay for dinner. This is not an appetizer. This is a declaration: we trust you. Eat. I ate with the gravity the moment deserved. And then — I must report this calmly — the basket emptied, and a new one appeared. "Did we…?" "Refill," the waiter said. "It's bottomless." Bottomless. They have wells of salsa. The supply lines of this nation are beyond anything my ancestors imagined. My friend warned me. "Don't fill up on chips, dude." Too late. I had accepted three baskets. Honor demanded each one be finished — an unfinished gift is an insult. By the time my actual food arrived, I was a ruined man. I was not hungry. I was not comfortable. I had been defeated by a courtesy. Generosity that arrives before the request cannot be repaid. It can only be survived. I know the rule now. I have made my peace with the basket. One basket. Two at the most. Who am I deceiving. There is no number of baskets I would refuse. The trust of a nation is in that salsa, and I intend to honor all of it.

Christopher Hitchens: ”In 1786, when the United States was barely a country, it was having its sailors taken as slaves by the Barbary states, the states of the Ottoman Empire and North Africa. Tripoli, shores of Tripoli. Ships stopped, its crews carried off into slavery. We estimate 1.5 million European and American slaves taken between 1750 and 1815. Jefferson and Adams went to their ambassador in London and said, why do you do this to us? The United States has never had a quarrel with the Muslim world of any kind. We weren't in the crusades. We weren't at war with Spain. Why do you do this to our people and our ships? Why do you plunder and enslave our people? The ambassador said very plainly, Mr. Abdul Rahman said, because the Quran gives us permission to do so, because you are infidels, and that's our answer. Jefferson said, well, in that case, I will send a navy which will crush your state, which he did. Islamic fundamentalism is not created by American democracy. It's a lie to say so. It's a masochistic lie, and it excuses those who are the real criminals, and blames us for the attacks made upon us.”

"Decolonize" is a communist polysemantic magic word. Normal people hear it and think decolonize as in remove colonists from land they've colonized, but that's not what it means to communists. For the communist, to decolonize something is to remove all influence of designated oppressor classes from it. White people are a designated oppressor class in the current revolution that has overtaken the UK and Europe. Thus, do decolonize Stratford-upon-Avon means to remove any trace of white, i.e. English, culture from it. In short, communists are methodically destroying western civilization. This is just one step in that campaign. Put another way, they are simply carrying out the goal set forth in the closing paragraph of the Communist Manifesto:

Woman: ”I am a woman of color, daughter of immigrants, muslim feminist, lefty liberal. Am I your enemy?” Jared Taylor: ”You're not subjectively my enemy. But what you are promoting will lead to the disappearance of my people and my culture. And I'll tell you this: It annoys me tremendously when I'm told by some immigrant or a child of immigrants that the only reason my country is worthwhile is because people like them have come here. It's as if to say my ancestors built a dung heap. And I don't doubt your good will, but your goodwill is objectively going to lead to the oblivion of my people. I'm sorry, there is no other way to see it.”
