But with a wealth tax in place, Jeff would have never reached $222B. Every year Jeff would have had to sell Amazon stock to pay your wealth tax. Eventually Jeff wouldn't have control of Amazon. And without him calling the shots, the company that employs 500K people in the US wouldn't have become what it is. That would have been a significant net reduction in taxes collected by the Govt.

If he paid my wealth tax this year, we could fund insulin in America for everyone who needs it plus free school lunch for every kid in Texas—and have plenty of money left over.
And Bezos would still have $215 billion dollars to spare.
