Redwings knows all too well how much knowledge, time, effort and commitment is needed to rescue and care for animals in need.
At present, anyone can set and run a ‘sanctuary’ without checks or even being required to register their existence.

As a result, not all sanctuaries are equal and too often we have been involved in cases of severe neglect and suffering in places called ‘sanctuaries’. This has often led to Redwings offering spaces for horses like Ringo, who needed to be rescued for a second time. ❤️
