Charles Hamilton Houston: one of the most important figures in #BlackHistory you may have never heard of. Given the nickname “The Man Who Killed Jim Crow”, he is responsible for exposing the lie of “separate but equal” and was a mentor to none other than Thurgood Marshall.

Today we honor a legend on her birthday: the one and only, Rosa Parks. A civil rights activist long before AND long after her famous arrest for refusing to give up her seat on a Montgomery, Alabama bus in December of 1955, Parks was a leader in the civil rights movement for (1/2)

Today for #BlackHistoryMonth we highlight: Thurgood Marshall. Best known for advocating against Jim Crow laws & as our first black SCOTUS justice, Marshall also founded the NAACP Legal Defense Fund & successfully argued Brown v BOE before his SCOTUS appointment.
