#GABAergic neuron-to-glioma synapses were recently found in #DMG/#DIPG, but not #GB @michelle_monje @TaraBarronPhD Yet our ML-based analysis flagged #GABA signalling as key in #GB. Notably, we showed that #GABAergic neurons promote #GB cell proliferation in co-culture assays.

With these studies we have showed that #epigenetic regulators of the #neuron-to-glioma axis can serve as actionable #targets in #GB. Viewing neuron-glioma interactions through an epigenetic lens helped us understand how glioma cells exploit neural signals to fuel their growth.
