Our police dogs and horses serve on the front lines, protecting officers and communities alike. They deserve real protection, not just praise.
That's why I worked with @K9sUnited to author the "LEO K9 Protection Act," which will deliver tougher penalties against those who harm these heroic animals in the line of duty.
Thank you, @SenAshleyMoody, for introducing this bill in the Senate.
Highly trained animals help law enforcement apprehend dangerous criminals, detect narcotics and explosives, assist with searches, find missing persons, and save lives.
That’s why I introduced the LEO K9 Protection Act.
Anyone who intentionally harms police animals in the line of duty should face serious consequences.
Law enforcement animals that serve with brave men and women protect our communities, and they in return deserve to be protected.
