We need to make sure that we get data centers right. They shouldn’t be forced into communities that don’t want them and they should not increase electricity rate rates or water rate rates for homeowners. We also need to make sure that we have a moral, ethical, and legal framework around AI super computing technology that maintains the dignity of human beings and the integrity of the human work ethic. At the same time maintaining a lead on super computing capability versus China is extremely important for our national security and super computers also have tremendous promise for medical science advances that can help Americans live longer and healthier lives. For example, in recent weeks, exciting announcements have been made about discovering types of pancreatic cancer earlier, and reducing rates of sepsis infections both due to AI super computing tech technologies. I look forward to continuing to work in Congress to make sure that data centers and their super computing technology are implemented in a way that is good for communities and good for Americans health wellness and safety.
