Treasurer Fleming, Sir, I have thus far refrained from influencing the Louisiana U. S. Senate debate, because my longstanding policy has been to preserve a clear field for my fellow citizens, and encourage We the People to calmly assess the dynamics of every civic decision.
However… your representations, good Sir, for over a year, have been conducted in a particularly unseemly, ungentlemanly manner, and your current posture, of posting and supporting the obscenely disrespectful AI video of my colleague and friend Julia Letlow, mocking the tragic death of her beloved Husband, is beyond the pale of any Louisiana Gentleman.
I am compelled to insist, Mr. Treasurer, that you remove the post, divorce yourself from those who created the appalling video, and apologize to Ms. Letlow and her children.
Until Wednesday, at 1500 hours, I shall humbly await your decision. In that hour, I will either acknowledge your acquiescence, or I will step into the arena in chivalrous support of Ms. Letlow and her children, respectful of her deceased Husband Luke, whom I held dear.
I deliver this message publicly, because you have refused my private counsel. You’ve been led astray John. I’m advising you to set things right.
