Last week, @HASCrepublicans and I passed the FY27 National Defense Authorization Act through the Armed Services Committee. This critical legislation invests in the capabilities needed to maintain a strong U.S. posture. It delivers several wins like strengthening our nuclear deterrence, expanding our missile defense, and providing resources and authorities to counter adversaries like China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea.

The House Armed Services Committee has advanced the FY27 NDAA, taking important steps to strengthen our military and rebuild the defense industrial base! 🇺🇸

A strong defense industrial base isn’t optional, it’s essential. From munitions to ship building to unmanned systems, we must rebuild American capacity and resilience in order to preserve our national security. The FY27 NDAA would do exactly that.

Grateful that the House Armed Services Committee passed the FY27 NDAA, demonstrating our commitment of Peace Through Strength and supports funding for critical missions in the district I represent and around the Palmetto State. Congress has poured years of investment into deployable nuclear microreactor technology, and this morning I made sure those investments don't just sit on a test pad. My amendment to deploy an operational nuclear microreactor in the Indo-Pacific by January 1, 2030 passed out of @HASCRepublicans and into the #FY27NDAA.
