It was great to see a fly-in group of local leaders from Claremore in Washington! We discussed the latest developments in Washington recently, including the plethora of big wins in the Farm Bill for Oklahoma.

Screwworm moving closer to the United States is deeply concerning for our livestock ranchers across the nation and the health of our herd. I applaud @SecRollins for her focus on this and her commitment to continue using all the available resources to ensure that our livestock remains unaffected and this threat to our farmers is eliminated.

🇺🇸 The Great American Cotton Plan represents the best of American agriculture. Natural fibers over plastic synthetics. Cotton breathes. It lasts. It doesn’t leach microplastics. Real American cotton = healthy skin, stronger farms, real jobs. This is how you win: grown here, sewn here!

.@SecRollins on combatting the New World screwworm with the construction of a state-of-the-art sterile fly production facility, FDA treatments: We got immediate approval to begin permitting and construction on what will be the largest facility in the world on this, and that is being built right now in Texas. Instead of a couple years of permitting, our Army Corps of Engineers, our @SecWar put it at the top of the list, got it fast tracked, and we we broke ground about 3 or 4 months ago. That facility will come online next year. When it does, it’ll produce about 300 million flies per week, in addition to the 100 million from Panama, and then we outfitted an additional Mexican facility. We will get back to the point where we're able to push it back and eradicate it. But until that point, which is likely some time next year, we had FDA fast track a lot of treatment. We’ve got a national veterinary supply stockpile that was loaded onto a plane this morning, is headed to South Texas right now.

American cotton producers are a critical industry, and consumers benefit from the expansion of production, affordability, and quality of cotton. @SecRollins is putting American producers first, which will maximize the cotton industry’s potential both domestically along with exports abroad.
The Great American Cotton Plan is about one thing: Putting American cotton first again. Real “_____” wear cotton. 👖🌱 Americans. Cowboys. Farmers. Families. MAHA. Because cotton is real, natural, American-grown, and made by U.S. farmers. Here’s the plan 👇    ✅ Promote natural American-grown fibers over synthetic, plastic-based materials   ✅ Expand domestic cotton manufacturing and textile production   ✅ Increase export opportunities for U.S. cotton producers   ✅ Strengthen support for cotton mills and processors   ✅ Protect cotton growers from market volatility and adverse risk   ✅ Modernize facilities and expand production capacity   ✅ Support long-term profitability for America’s cotton farmers      This is about rebuilding an industry that supports jobs, rural communities, American manufacturing, and our agricultural future.      Plant, not plastic.

I’m proud that this innovative technology and training is occurring in OKC. Thank you @SecDuffy and @FAA_Bryan for investing your time and resources into the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center.
Yesterday, I led a hearing, where we collected testimony from @SecDuffy. During the hearing, I utilized some of my time with the Secretary to advocate for the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center in OKC. We have the land, the facilities, and a world-class staff in Oklahoma to ensure that air traffic controllers receive in-person, focused, state-of-the-art training. Therefore, I will always fight for the funding the center needs to modernize and expand, while at the same time push back on any effort to decentralize or weaken what we have built there. I'd like to thank Secretary Duffy for the attention he has given to the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center, as he truly understands what this facility means to the safety of our nation's entire aviation system.

I thank @SecRollins for creating new jobs and maximizing fertilizer capacity across the nation. The transparency and efficiency from @USDA helps farmers and ranchers have the essential resources they need to succeed.
Three major steps we announced today to strengthen American fertilizer production and support our farmers and ranchers. 🇺🇸 🚜 1️⃣ The Blue Point Project in Louisiana is moving at “Trump speed.” Within 45 days, permitting is expected to wrap up for a $3.7 BILLION ammonia plant that will become the world’s largest ammonia plant — creating hundreds of jobs and strengthening America’s fertilizer supply chain. 2️⃣ Trump's USDA is fixing Biden’s broken Fertilizer Production Expansion Program and getting projects over the finish line. When we inherited the program, only 8 of 121 projects had reached completion. Many were stalled by red tape and climate mandates instead of focused on fertilizer production. We are now working directly with every awardee to move high-impact projects forward — including: ✅ An $80 million Washington state project expected to produce 700,000 tons annually of hydrogen ammonia fertilizer and support 200 jobs ✅ A $3.89 million Iowa project expanding domestic organic fertilizer production Together, these projects are expected to unlock over 2 million tons of new annual fertilizer capacity, support 61,000 producers, cover 30 million additional acres, and create more than 500 jobs. 3️⃣ USDA is increasing transparency for farmers. Effective immediately, we are searching for a full-time input economist dedicated to tracking input costs and improving market transparency so we can better support America’s farmers and ranchers. All-in, the projects announced today are expected to increase domestic fertilizer production by approximately 4.5 million tons per year — serving roughly 400,000 producers and 290 million acres of farmland. This is an important step toward reshoring fertilizer production and putting American agriculture first again.

The Treasury market is the bedrock of our global financial system. With our nation’s debt continuing to grow, it’s critical that Congress, @SECGov, and @CFTC allow market participants to mitigate risk and drive demand for these instruments.

I’m pleased to see, after years of hard work, the 2026 Farm Bill pass the U.S. House of Representatives. This bill reauthorizes a suite of critical research, rural development, and credit programs that will invest into our communities and create rural resiliency for decades to come. It also focuses on expanding and investing into market access programs abroad, and it ensures that voluntary conservation programs continue to reflect the needs of producers. As former Chairman of the House Ag Committee, I have experienced firsthand what it takes to pass a comprehensive farm bill, and I commend everyone that worked so hard to get this over the finish line. I look forward to building on this success to help create a final product for President Trump to sign into law.

I am saddened to hear about the passing of my friend Carl Renfro. From the first time I met Carl, not only was it obvious he was an outstanding member of Ponca City and a highly qualified banker, but his community spirit and focus on the future of the city was quite extraordinary. I consider the times I worked with Carl on important community projects as some of my most rewarding experiences as a public servant. Even after he retired from his business life, every discussion I had with him was about what we could do for Ponca City. His legacy will be remembered in Ponca City and all of Oklahoma forever, and he will be greatly missed. I am praying for his family and loved ones during this difficult time.

WATCH: @RepFrankLucas on how the Basel III proposals improves on the 2023 proposal: “The Basel re-proposal we're discussing today is a dramatic improvement from the 2023 proposal, and I laud Vice Chair Bowman's hard work to release it less than a year after assuming a role... This proposal ensures capital requirements do not reduce our lending capacity, market liquidity, or other market making activity that banks provide to support the economy. The previous Basel proposal received a record volume of comments expressing concerns over the negative impact it would have had on lending capacity in our banking systems.” 📺⬇️

Over 500 organizations support the Farm, Food, and National Security Act of 2026. They’re counting on Congress to finish the job, pass a farm bill, and deliver results for farmers, ranchers, and rural Americans. It’s time for a vote on the farm bill.
