Was honored to work together with @oceana in passing the Shark Fin Sales Elimination Act, federal legislation in the 117th Congress to place a national prohibition on the sale of shark fins. This law will help protect our mano & restore their populations in our oceans.

One month after I took office I visited the Bobby Benson Center in Kahuku in early 2021.
The center is a residential & outpatient program for adolescents, ages 13-17 struggling with homelessness, alcohol and drug addiction.
A true gift to our O’ahu & North Shore community, I am proud to announce $1.2M in Federal Community Project Funding to support facilities and new equipment.
Mahalo to the staff of the Bobby Benson Center for your tireless efforts and commitment to our keiki.
Today, I signed the bipartisan omnibus bill, ending a year of historic progress.
It'll invest in medical research, safety, veteran health care, disaster recovery, VAWA funding – and gets crucial assistance to Ukraine.
Looking forward to more in 2023.
ALT President Biden signs the bipartisan omnibus bill into law.
The 117th Congress was the most productive since President Johnson’s Great Society accomplishments two generations ago.
That’s what happens when we put #PeopleOverPolitics.
It is long overdue for the @potus to #removethestain.
Our nations highest and most hallowed military honor has no place at the indigenous massacre at #woundedknee.
1 year or 132 years ago, it does not matter. It is a stain on our military and a stain on our country.
On this day in 1890, nearly 300 Lakota people were slaughtered at Wounded Knee, S.D. by U.S. Army soldiers. I wept with descendants of that massacre at the Wounded Knee Memorial this past year. Our work to build a better future starts with acknowledging our tragic history.
Excited to announce that the Molokai Community Health Center has been selected as a recipient for FY23 Community Project Funding in the amount of $1,664,000. FQHC’s are critical to rural community healthcare and I am grateful for all they do for our Molokaʻi families.

Lots of truths in this article from those that have actually served & experienced Congress.
