As families in the Fighting Fifth struggle to fill their gas tanks, pay for doctor's visits, keep food on the table, and keep a roof over their head, Republicans are pushing a $70 billion blank check for ICE through Congress without a shred of reform, oversight, or accountability. At the same time, they are backing Trump's $1.8 billion slush fund for January 6 insurrectionists.
Last year, Republican yes-men cut healthcare and food assistance to pay for Trump's billionaire tax cuts. Now, instead of taking action to make life more affordable for Americans, Republicans are spending even more money on ICE’s violence and creating a fund that allows Trump to reward his friends. Republicans are complicit in Trump’s corruption.
