82 years may seem like a long time ago, but for the Warriors who landed on, fought on, survived, or gave their last full measure on the beaches of Normandy on 6 July 1944, I suspect it still feels like only yesterday - and always will. Thanks to @RepFine, @RepTimBurchett and others who joined my press conference to introduce two critical bills: 1) the “Protecting Kids from Creeps Act” - to crack down on surrogacy agencies providing babies to sex offenders, and 2) the “Preventing International Surrogacy Exploitation Act” - to stop “birth tourism,” and foreign nationals from exploiting surrogacy in the U.S. These bills put children first (which should always be the case, and some seem to be forgetting that), and help prevent predators / foreign actors from obtaining children in our Nation for personal gain, profit, or other nefarious reasons.
