10 years ago, clubgoers at the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando were attacked for being part of the LGBTQI community. We solemnly remember the 49 lives lost and honor their memory by recommitting to the fight against hate and discrimination. No one should live in fear because of who they are or who they love.

Last month, I introduced the Student Suicide Prevention Awareness Act to expand grant funding and encourage schools to display signage with lifesaving information about the 988 Suicide and Crisis Hotline. I recently sent a letter with @RepAdams urging HHS not to delay critical funding for Sickle Cell Disease prevention and care. These programs and organizations are a vital lifeline for patients, families, and healthcare professionals - and every day without renewed funding is a day patients are at risk.
