It is interesting (or not) that Mamdani has fully embraced a sportstainment economy, even though sportstainment is exploitative to both fans and workers, massively corrupt, and environmentally unfriendly. Sportstainment, though, is useful to the new mayor, as it distracts the masses from urban reality, and you see the continued attempt at the split screen with the mayor absolutely intent on never saying another word about the Penn Station mass attack.
