Cancel culture is still very much alive.
I've just been excluded from an indie sale by the woke crybullies of indie publishing.
Yes, I say 'I' and not 'my work' because my work fits every criteria for the sale. In fact, it has been part of the sale for several years. This is personal.
Now that the true nature and intent of these gatekeeping cliques became clear (to promote the woke agenda and censor anything that doesn't), authors who dared to speak against the ideology have to be 'punished'.
I'm the ideal candidate for their 'righteousness' because I'm not famous enough to cause 'trouble'.
This is not about the sale. I submit books to several indie sales regularly. I even have them on sale when there's no sale going on.
This is about deliberate harm being done to authors who, like me, lack the resources and reach to fight back.
There's more. I can't talk about it yet because I can't prove it - yet. But believe me, this is just the tip of the iceberg. The level of defamation going on backstage is huge and devastating and goes far beyond social media or marketing opportunities.
These hypocrites claim to support all indie authors. Claim to be the on side of kindness, goodness and inclusion.
Bullshit.
These people don't care for authors or books. They can't create anything, so they destroy. And if they can't destroy the work itself, they try to destroy the author's ability to put it out there.
