Using the vegetation mapping & Birdlife Australia survey data, the likelihood of the presence or absence of selected bird species was mapped. This provides examples of how, at a regional scale, opportunities for connecting habitat might be identified #SCBMelb20

The urban heat island of metro #Melbourne, the presence or absence of vegetation & several indicators of socio-economic vulnerability (e.g household income, age, rentals) were analysed. Unsurprisingly, there is a close ve correlation between these datasets #SCBMelb20

In a world first, in collaboration with @ResilientMelb partners @DigitalGlobe & @Trimble multispectral satellite imagery & LiDAR were used to map the height and distribution of vegetation across metro #Melbourne. This helps inform future planting opportunities #SCBMelb20
