Taking out the attacking bow-ties in Arcadia on the #ZXSpectrum
One of those early titles that felt closer to arcade quality than anything that had come before

My book on the greatest 16K #ZXSpectrum games is complete. I'm currently in talks about publishing, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
In the meantime, is Jetpac the greatest 16K game of all time?
You tell me!
Keep it #retro folks 👍
With summer upon us, I've taken a detour to revive an old math game project for kids.
Still haven't come up with a name, but it's inspired by the old Number Munchers games.
Hoping to release this in the coming weeks!
The final retrospective in my upcoming book on the greatest 16K #ZXSpectrum games is La Mina by Ventramatic.
Released in 1983 it was a lovely homage to Bagman. A more obscure, yet nifty title to close out with.

Z by The Bitmap Brothers.
A humorous, rapid paced RTS game, set across twenty levels.
Published by Renegade in 1996 (originally on PC) it took the capture the flag ethos to a new level.
A difficult, but highly enjoyable #PCGame
Is it old enough to be considered retro now?
One day, you made a mix tape for the last time and you didn't even realise it.
Or maybe you still make them now?
Did you (ahem) have mix tape 'backups' of computer games for your ZX Spectrum, C64, CPC464 or BBC Micro? 😁
Yo Joe. Published by Play Byte on the Commodore #Amiga in 1992.
A slick platform game with fiendish levels, excellent gameplay and a fantastic soundtrack.
I got many hours out of it.
