This story had sound ideas about fate and Krypton feels surprisingly real, but I found the romance and by extension the tragedy underwhelming.
I expected more from the concept.

Lazarus Affair is just an okay ras al ghul story by far not the best in this era honestly i think you can read birth of the demon in its place and it works better when it comes to ras' resurrection i also feel it makes talia too reliant on her father if she isnt near him she dies

thats why i dont like her being 150 years old and getting her youth back by touching his hand its just idk.. just feels like an unnecessary addition and kinda glad they retconned it but yeah in a batman readthrough you can basically read birth of the demon in its place

i love how this issue after bruce saves his parents in an alternate universe it honestly shows what happens to this universes bruce and kinda alludes to even without the tragedy of his parents death he still becomes batman
