This is adjacent to our hotel @beHOTEL_Malta where we stayed in Malta. Every time we walked past I wanted to burst into song. But do you know what song though? It was a great stay and I loved the Island.

You go to work for 40 years (I'm currently at 42). You’re forced into auto‑enrolment. You play by the rules, you save into a pension on the promise it’s yours. Then Labour strolls in, waves through a law that lets ministers tell your scheme where to gamble those savings – not for your benefit, but to prop up their economic “strategy” and vanity infrastructure schemes that the market won’t fund. This isn’t prudence. It isn’t “modernisation”. It is a straightforward transfer of control from the saver to the state. Hands off our pensions. Share this before they pretend nobody noticed.

Last night my 12 year old granddaughter performed for the first time since her epilepsy diagnosis. Performing with her friend Delia at a local church, entertaining people from nursing homes with dementia. This is their performance of ‘what is this feeling’ from the musical WICKED. It blows me away that Isaiah 53 is so clearly about Jesus that when you read it to people, without telling them that it was written hundreds of years before the New Testament, they tend to just assume that it was written after the fact. Mind blowing. “He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not. I am a medical doctor in the UK We already have assisted dying: it js called palliative care What they are trying to introduce is assisted SUICIDE This is fundamentally at odds with the medical profession.

Indeed, happy memories, yet filled with a touch of sadness for similar reasons.
