While I hope and pray that a diplomatic solution to end the Iranian conflict and deny Iran the ability to produce a nuclear weapon and stop their reign of terror on the region may be at hand, we still must understand who we are dealing with. Since the latest ceasefire, Hezbollah has been unrelenting in their attacks against Israel to the point there are areas in northern Israel that have been evacuated because of the constant attacks. What would America do in a similar situation? Hezbollah is financed and controlled by Iran, with a lot of American blood on its hands. It is clear to me that no matter what deal we sign with Iran, Hezbollah’s stated ambitions of destroying Israel and making Lebanon a caliphate have not fundamentally changed. Let’s recall two things that have been with us over the past year. One is the understanding that Trump would come here to help Netanyahu before the election. There was talk of the Israel Prize, that he would visit before the election, and tell people to vote for Netanyahu. Let’s just say that seems a bit doubtful now. The second is, of course, the pardon story—the total mobilization in Netanyahu’s favor. Now this is changing, and in my opinion, it poses a challenge for Netanyahu, even with his thirty years as prime minister. This is perhaps the biggest challenge he’s ever faced with a U.S. president. Relatively speaking, dealing with Obama, Clinton, or Biden is easier, since you have the Republican Party wing and the U.S. opposition that will always be on your side. That’s not the case here. Much of the support Israel still has in the United States comes from the MAGA movement. What happens if Trump stands up to Netanyahu? Having said that about this moment of truth, it’s clear what the correct answer must be in this test. "The answer must be that Israel will never agree to stop attacking Dahieh in retaliation, because that would mean Hezbollah would continue to grow stronger, and it would be a return in one fell swoop to October 6th," says a senior cabinet minister. This is an Iranian attempt to force, with American backing, a return to the October 6th lines into this agreement, and that cannot happen.

Ynet: Israeli officials are reportedly furious over U.S. efforts to discourage an Israeli response to any Iranian missile attack. According to the report, Israeli intelligence believes there is a significant chance Iran will launch missiles at Israel. While Washington is urging Tehran to limit its response, it is also pressing Israel not to retaliate. One Israeli official reportedly accused the Trump administration of “normalizing attacks on Israel,” questioning why the U.S. was justified in striking Iran after an American helicopter was downed, while Israel is expected to absorb missile fire without responding.

INTERESTING REPORT: The same U.S. platforms sold to Qatar despite Pentagon warnings about technology leakage, the F-15QA, AH-64E Apache, and MQ-9 Reaper, are the very aircraft types later downed or lost during Operation Epic Fury against Iran. An F-15QA was shot down over Iran, an Apache was lost over the Strait of Hormuz, and multiple MQ-9s were destroyed during the campaign. Qatar’s security cooperation agreement with Iran has long raised concerns among critics that sensitive U.S. technology or military know how could ultimately find its way to Tehran. It’s clear what the PM of Israel is doing. He’s protecting his country and the people of Israel. Just as we’d expect our government to do the same if terrorists in Mexico backed by Cuba were shooting missiles into Texas.  I fear Iran and Hezbollah are being incentivized.

If any nation ever launches attack drones and rockets into the USA, I would hope and expect the US government to defend us and pound whoever did it. If you don’t want Israel to do the same thing, don’t attack Israel.

Mr. President—when your helicopter was shot down, no one was killed, yet you still found it necessary to respond. So how is it that when explosive drones are launched into our civilian communities in the north, you dismiss it as meaningless? Hypocrisy at its best!
