Primary head with a passion for seeing every child grow and achieve. My school is in no way responsible for my inability to concoct pithy sound bites...
I'm typing in: My New Year's resolution is... and then seeing what the predictive text suggests.
My New Year's resolution is the same as last time and the London office has a few more of a good idea about what we can do for you all.
NB: I haven't worked in London since 1991!
I mean. To be honest. I don’t think I’ve got TIME to work anymore. I mean. There is so much stuff to do in life. Stare at my phone, nag the children, overeat…complete bizarre puzzles of luxuriating canines… #BoxingDay#Jigsaws 🧩
I have been asked to ask you all what games you are playing for Xmas with your families? Cards? Traditional board games? Modern board games? Screen games. Or no games!
If you grew up with this truly beautiful, Christmastime series, by the BBC & called The Box of Delights, then you know what it means to hear: ‘The wolves are running.’ 🐺

The Ladybird telling of Elves and the Shoemaker is set at Christmas time. It’s surely the kindest of all the fairy tales - a story of giving and gratitude with no villains.

“Strange, isn't it? Each man's life touches so many other lives. And when he isn't around he leaves an awful hole, doesn't he?”
Clarence ( it’s a wonderful life)
Have a good day. Value those around you - and tell them, often. Spend time, it’s more valuable x

The Christmas book tree sponsored by Hatchards books at St. Pancras Station.
The little booths at the bottom have speakers that read you a story while you wait for your train.

Yesterday the local secondary school was shut and about 9 year 7s came back to say hello. They all said they would come back to year 6 in a heartbeat if they could. It was humbling and heart warming to hear them talk so positively about their primary experience.
Surely there's no better feeling than seeing the sunrise on a Saturday morning in late November after a challenging but satisfying week at school. Cup of tea here I come!
A blast from the past: A few years back I stood outside Wells Cathedral for a full day and photographed the impact of the light on the front facade. I was amazed at the outcome - at how a single entity could morph and change under the changing light. #thread
If Stockton is good enough for @RealBobMortimer then it's good enough for me! Whenever I've visited I have only ever been treated with the greatest of respect and kindness. #StocktonIsGreat
Feel free to reply or DM any questions or queries you may have. I will hopefully be able to answer all, unless it's how to get the smell of a Bushcraft fire out of your clothes...I still don't know that one (recommendations welcome)
With the world so full of horrors it feels really stupid to write about my silly little walk, but maybe it's interesting to someone and it isn't horrors. Today I had a walk along the coast and it was nice there were horses and mountains and a little ferry
